Election Information

Rural municipalities hold an election for selected divisions every two years (the Reeve & odd-numbered divisions in one election and then even-numbered divisions in the following election period). Each council member holds office for a four-year term.

  • 2026 - Division 2, Division 4, and Division 6
  • 2028 - Reeve, Division 1, Division 3, and Division 5

Call for Nominations 

For the offices of:

  • Councillor: Division 2
  • Councillor: Division 4
  • Councillor: Division 6

Nominations will be received by the RM Office during regular office hours (8:00 a.m. to noon and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.) from September 17, 2026 to October 6, 2026 and from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on October 7, 2026.

CAUTION - Low Level Crossing Closure - September 11, 2026

  • The low level crossing at Rge Rd 2051 and Twp Rd 281 (SE-11-28-05 & NE-02-28-05) is CLOSED until further notice. The water is too high to drive through and the signs have been stolen.

Clubroot 

What is clubroot? Clubroot is a soil-borne disease affecting the roots of cruciferous field crops such as canola, mustard, camelina, oilseed radish and taramira.

What does clubroot do to the crops? Roots of affected crops swell causing the plant to be unable to obtain water and nutrients which results in overall yield loss.
